I guess I really should start using this again. :/ Just for day-to-day blogs?
Well, finals are coming up. I'm so ready to get out of this semester. I've hated almost every moment of it. I suppose that's what happens when it's full of classes you're required to take rather than ones that have any relevance to things you're interested.
I have two papers due, a vocabulary test in Japanese, a small midterm (WTF) in Linguistics, and then I'm planning on taking my Humanities and my Sociology finals this weekend.
The next week, my Japanese final is scheduled for Monday. I will probably take my religion one that day as well, and wrap everything up with my Linguistics final on Tuesday.
And then it's off to Los Angeles to enjoy some time with friends and family and warmth. Planning on going to Little Tokyo and Chinatown and Disneyland with my best friend. :)
Away, to study! -_-

Fly, fly!
;alskdnv;zlkxbn;alhgalsdf. I leave. Soon. And I am really scared that something is going to go wrong. And I don't know anything about my host families and it will take me a few days to speak Japanese once I actually get there.
This is going to be an adventure!!!!! :Db
...... D8
I know I'll be fine once I get there and settle in, but for now I'm really freaking out. So I'll probably be venting with translation! Because that's seriously the only thing that can calm me down at this point besides lots of Moi Dix Mois and Ono Daisuke music. (Why Moi Dix Mois is calming, I do not know).
I'll be using this blog to post updates while I'm away, but how often it will happen I know not. It'll be here and Facebook, so if you want to know how things are going, look here! :Db

Reflection on my "Fall of the House of Usher Paper"
"Write about your critical analysis and thought process for this paper."
I like Poe's writing, so I decided to write about one of my favourites. I sat down, read the book a few times, then opened my computer to Word. Two thoughts flashed through my mind: vampirism, and "wow, the house and Usher are exactly the same". I started writing for the second idea because it would definitely fill four pages and the paper practically wrote itself. The end.
D:
I do not put much thought into most papers. The things just write themselves. Some are better than others. I've proved to myself that when I try to think things through and plan and organize when writing papers, it crashes and burns and then I get frustrated and the papers are no good. But somehow, but sitting down and thinking about something else, papers are written and most get very good scores.
(Proof? Three papers in history last semester. Wailed, cried blood and tears, studied, thought, organized for the first two. Was sick of it by the third one and just wrote that one without thinking. Scores, if I'm remembering right: 8/12, 7/12, and then 11/12.)
Too bad I can't do something like that for these "reflect on what you did to write this paper" papers.

Who's bringing sexy back?
After a Shirogane video and a brand-new one for Kou, and feeling very affectionate towards a certain blind bartender, I honestly couldn't help it.
Master seems far too innocent for me to use his clips with a song like this. DX
But this is for dear Wolfy more than anyone else, because no matter how much I love Master, I know she loves him more. ;3 Please enjoy it, Wolfy!

MY CEILING DDD8
It's giving way!
It was Wednesday night that I came back from work and my side of the desk was getting dripped on. My roommate had cleared everything on to my bed, and we safely evacuated almost all of our stuff on the desk to the further side of the room. We made calls to emergency maintenance, who did not answer. We slept on the couches down in the living room.
Thursday, maintenance shows up and slices the paint that was bulging down from the ceiling, pulls it away, and then proceeds up to the roof where they threw off all the snow.
Did this fix the problem? Uh, no.
So I come back from visiting home last night to find that not only was the ceiling dripping faster, but the window was leaking and the ceiling drips had now extended into my closet.
This is ridiculous. Maintenance was supposed to fix this ON THE FIRST DAY. So I'm calling management tomorrow and telling them that they either fix my ceiling immediately, or they get me a different apartment. I am not paying money for a room I cannot live in.
